US-based online insurance marketplace Insurify has launched what it describes as the insurance industry’s first app within ChatGPT, allowing users to research and compare car insurance policies directly inside the AI platform.

Insurify built the tool to simplify comparison shopping by integrating its proprietary database of more than 196 mn auto insurance quotes and over 70,000 verified customer reviews.

Founder and chief executive Snejina Zacharia said the company aimed to reduce friction in a process many drivers find complex.

“Drivers can ask questions in plain language, explore personalized quotes, and review real customer feedback, all in one place,” said Snejina Zacharia.

Within ChatGPT, users can access personalised rate estimates based on profile variables such as location, vehicle, age, credit profile, driving record and coverage requirements.
