Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday addressed public grievances during a ‘Jansunwai’ in Kota, highlighting recent heavy rainfall and waterlogging in rural areas of Kota-Bundi that caused significant damage. He assured people that surveys to assess losses are underway and compensation will be provided once completed. Birla directed officials to resolve several issues on the spot and listened to residents’ concerns during his three-day visit to the constituency. He announced that construction of an airport in Kota is likely to begin soon, stating it will enhance connectivity, boost tourism, and strengthen agriculture. Birla added that the airport and related development will help reestablish Kota not only as a tourist destination but also as an emerging industrial hub.
